The actual portal: from customer selection to an unposted sales invoice.

A focused portal. Your Business Central data.

Let staff prepare sales invoices through a clear web interface while keeping customer records, items and invoice calculations in Business Central.

Controlled access for staff

Staff authentication and role-based access determine who can use the portal. Employees select from the Business Central companies they are authorized to access.

Flexible invoice entry

Select customers and items directly from Business Central. Enter invoice lines and edit quantities, unit prices and discounts for the sale.

Calculations stay in Business Central

Business Central calculates invoice totals and VAT. Create and manage unposted sales invoices, then review the document in Business Central.

From sign-in to an unposted sales invoice

  1. Sign in to the portal with your staff account.
  2. Select a Business Central company you are authorized to access.
  3. Choose a customer directly from Business Central.
  4. Add items and enter quantities, unit prices and discounts.
  5. Calculate and review invoice totals and VAT using Business Central.
  6. Create or manage the unposted sales invoice.
  7. Review the document in Business Central.

The portal prepares unposted sales invoices. Document review and posting remain part of your Business Central process.

Direct integration with Business Central Cloud

BC Invoice Portal connects through standard Microsoft APIs. No custom Business Central extensions or AL development are required, and there are no custom Web Services to publish or configure.

What initial setup involves

Initial Microsoft Entra application setup and Business Central application permissions are required. Company access and staff roles must be configured for your organization.

Adaptation for an on-premises Business Central environment may be possible, subject to a technical assessment of the environment and integration requirements.
